That’s why at Solid Gold Guitars (“SGG”), we use the finest materials and build each guitar or ukulele, paying close attention to every fine detail. After the completion of the build, our professional technicians inspect each instrument by hand, then perform a full, precision setup so your guitar, bass, or ukulele is ready to play the moment it touches your hands.
Guitar necks are crafted from wood, and they will sometimes shift during shipping and as the temperature/humidity/elevation changes. If your new SGG guitar or ukulele’s playability is compromised in any way, then the neck might just need a simple truss rod adjustment to allow optimum playability.
When placing your order with us, please specify the string gauge and tuning you want on your new SGG guitar, bass, or ukulele. This will save you time and money!

Otherwise, we will set up your new Voodoo instrument to Standard Tuning with regular gauge guitar strings.
SGG- Factory Setup:
- Truss rod adjustment to keep the neck straight and playing in tune.
- Action adjustments at the nut and bridge for effortless fretting and chording, and better intonation.
- Pickup height adjustments for optimal signal output.
- Intonation adjustments to make the guitar play in tune all across the neck.
- Frets are leveled and crowned (rounded) to eliminate any buzz or dead spots.
- Frets are polished for smooth string bending.
- Tremolo Systems are set to float in optimal position.
- Fingerboards are oiled for protection and to bring out the rich, natural wood grains.
